The Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, affirmed on Tuesday that the Kingdom stands shoulder to shoulder with Iraq to preserve its stability, and support its development efforts, and restore its historical status.
In his speech during the Baghdad Cooperation Conference in Jordan, the Saudi official said that his country supports Iraq and stands with it to restore its historical status as a land of civilization, science, and knowledge and advance it to a new stage that puts its national interest ahead of any other considerations.
He also affirmed that the Kingdom stands with the Iraqi people as one in the fight against terrorism and extremism and all those who seek destruction and destruction.
Faisal bin Farhan said the Kingdom is glad Iraq has resumed the positive and constructive cycle to enhance trust, partnership, and peace regionally and internationally. He added that the Kingdom rejects any interference in Iraqi affairs.
The Saudi Foreign Minister added, “We will spare no effort to support cooperation with Iraq and promote promising investment opportunities for companies (…) and the Kingdom affirms its intention to move forward in activating and strengthening water plans.”
He expressed the kingdom’s praise for Iraq’s political will, in the determination of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani to face challenges and devote security and stability to achieving the brotherly Iraqi people’s aspirations.
Bin Farhan affirmed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s support for efforts to rebuild Iraq and activate the electrical connection.
