Saudi Arabia celebrates International Women’s Day
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia joins the world’s system of celebrating International Women’s Day, which falls on the 8th of March.
The celebration emphasizes its role in achieving development, enhancing human civilization, and recalling Saudi achievements, and its presence in forums and events.

During the reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Highness the Crown Prince, may God preserve them, women were empowered to work and actively participate in building the nation and achieving the goals and aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030.
Many regulations and extensive amendments were introduced to ensure and protect women’s rights and enhance their presence in society.
This is derived from the rights guaranteed by the tolerant Islamic Sharia, principles, regulations, agreements, and treaties, guaranteeing a decent life and equal opportunities.
This empowerment played a role in building confidence in Saudi women, as their presence in society, continuous contributions, and competition in all practical and scientific aspects are accelerated, reflected in their honorable presence in local and international forums.
Such historical steps are commensurate with the culture of society and the variables of the era and its outputs and different stages.
This will advance national development, participate in nation-building, and contribute to various aspects of the development movement.
Saudi women continue to actively contribute to advancing development through volunteer work.
The Saudi Vision 2030 is aware of the importance of volunteer work and its role in building the future.
Saudi women have a major developmental role in community service. it specified the priorities of its future vision and focused its objectives on its full social participation in the development of society.
The fact that development and social construction are not complete without the participation of women through supporting and enabling them to obtain appropriate opportunities to build their future as a strategic direction, in addition to believing in their ambitious vision, developing their talents, investing their energies, providing a suitable environment for them, and providing services that facilitate carrying out their national duties.
