Saudi Arabia announces its participation in Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan

Saudi Arabia announced its participation in the Expo 2025 Osaka, organized by Japan, after signing the participation agreement, on the sidelines of the first (IPM) for Expo 2025, which was held today in Osaka, Japan.

Through its participation in “Expo 2025 Osaka”, the Kingdom will work to display its artistic, cultural, and societal innovations, and to continue the success it has achieved through its pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai was crowned with the award for the best participating pavilion, and received nearly 5 million visitors, equivalent to 24% of the total visits to Expo 2020.

Expo 2025 Osaka aims to promote efforts to unite peoples with different cultures and interests under the global slogan “Creating the future to improve the lives of societies.”

The international exhibition will discuss ways to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), within the framework of 3 sub-themes, including ensuring the sustainability of life, improving life, and enhancing life through communication.

The Kingdom’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka translates its commitment to the global cooperation to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Participation also creates great opportunities for international cooperation and benefits from global experiences to build a better world for all.

The Kingdom’s relationship with the “Expo” began in 1958 when it participated in the “Expo Brussels”, and it officially submitted, last September, its file to host the “Expo 2030” exhibition.

The election of the host country for “Expo 2030” will be done by the member countries of the BIE, at the General Assembly meeting scheduled to be held in November 2023.
