Al-Majaridah is one of the governorates in The Asir Region, Saudi Arabia is known as the land of nature, history, and astronomy.

 

The village people excelled in the multiplicity of cultures and skills in agriculture and its types, in astronomy and its stars, and on the agricultural cultural calendar by abstract calculation.

 

This calendar is currently one of the most famous and oldest agricultural calendars in the Kingdom.

Al-Majardah houses represent a unique architectural style, amidst the charming nature.

 

The village is on top of green mountains, interspersed with valleys and reefs, where vast agricultural lands are located.

 

There are beautiful valleys and aromatic shrubs and trees useful for the development of the place, such as Sidr, Al-Afar, almonds, Al-Dhamra.

 

Al-Majardah is characterized by the height of its mountains, which range between 2000 and 3000 above sea level.

 

Its climate varies and the temperatures in its villages vary according to nature, throughout the seasons of the year.

 

It is also characterized by the diversity of nature’s manifestations, and the village embraces the playgrounds, in which celebrations and meetings are held for the folkloric events and dances of the people of the village.

 

The village penetrates the orchards and fertile agricultural lands, which are surrounded by Arab wells to support the abundance of water for the villagers and their farms, as well as the abundance of aflaj, which derive their water from rainwater.

 

Among the tourist components of the village of Al-Majardah are valleys, mountain tops, and caves, in which the visitor will find qualitative pleasure, and an abundance of giant juniper trees extending at the entrance to the village and its whiter mountains.

 

The community of Al-Majardah village excels in terms of agricultural skills and its breadth in the production of fruits, legumes of all kinds, ghee, and honey products.

 

The village of Al-Majardah has been an urban community since ancient times, and its people have exploited the resources of nature, agriculture, astronomy, and astrology since ancient times.

 

The village also hosts an astronomical observatory, whose works are based on the “Al-Kahila Rock” to determine the entry and times of the agricultural seasons in the agricultural stars.
