Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan discuss bilateral relations
The Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan , received a phone call Sunday from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jehun Bayramov.
The two ministers discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and areas of joint cooperation, according to the Saudi Press Agency, “SPA”.
The call also covered the latest developments and a number of issues of common concern.
Armenian Defense Ministry spokeswoman Artsron Hovhannisyan confirmed on Twitter on Sunday that Azerbaijani armed forces are launching attacks in the southern direction using armored vehicles and missiles in violation of the ceasefire agreement.
Hovhannisyan also added that Armenian army units responded to the attacks by Azerbaijan and shot down a drone.
It is noteworthy that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had urged Armenia and Azerbaijan last September to cease fire, expressing concern about the development of the situation.
To that, it called for the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan to be resolved peacefully, in accordance with Security Council resolutions.
