
ROSHN Group has launched Hackathon 24, the largest Property technology competition in the region, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
As part of the Cityscape Global in Riyadh, Hackathon 24 will take place from November 11 to 14 with the participation of hundreds of innovators from more than 12 countries.
Through fierce competitions, the participants will attempt to create innovative ideas for the construction and real estate sectors in four main areas.
Crucially, the winning teams will secure a prize pool of SAR300,000 to bring their ideas to life.
The upcoming edition comes after 23 Hackathon’s remarkable success that highlighted 17 competing teams and a prize pool of one million riyals.
Interestingly, this year’s season has increased the fields of competition, including green technologies such as energy efficiency, smart buildings, automation, corporate social responsibility, and technology entrepreneurship.
The Hackathon has invited individuals and teams to visit the website and register their ideas concerning the event.
Consequently, the candidates will have for days during the Cityscape Global to showcase their business models and thoughts.
Eventually, a prestigious jury will evaluate the models and announce the winners on the final day of the event.
The top teams will receive a prize pool of SAR300,000 for each and the second-place teams will each secure SAR150,000. Moreover, the third-place teams will obtain SAR50,000 to develop their ideas and models.
ROSHN Hackathon 24 has several SME partners, such as the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones and the Center of Digital Entrepreneurship.
PwC serves as a knowledge partner, while Google and Future Workshops will support the event as technology partners. The Garage and Tuwaiq Academy will power the event.
