Riyadh University of Arts to Open Applications in May, Welcome Students in Sept.
Saudi Culture Minister Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan unveiled that applications for Riyadh University of Arts will open in May, with the inaugural academic term scheduled to begin in September, according to Arab News.
Prince Badr, who also serves as chairman of the university’s board of trustees, said the institution aspires to become a pioneering hub for cultural education in the Kingdom.
In line with the Saudi Vision 2030, the university will feature a vast array of academic specializations designed to empower students and enrich the creative industries, while also elevating Saudi Arabia’s cultural scene.
Commenting on the launch of the university, Prince Badr said that the initiative marks a remarkable milestone in the development of the Kingdom’s cultural sector, positioning it as a cornerstone for creative education and cultural innovation.
Based in Riyadh, the university will begin welcoming students in September across four founding colleges, Music, Film, Theatre and Performing Arts, and Cultural Management, offering eight academic programs, with plans for phased expansion to 13 colleges.
