Riyadh Season exceeds expectations as visitors’ number is 10 million
The Saudi General Entertainment Authority announced, on Saturday, that the number of visitors to the Riyadh season reached 10 million.
The Riyadh season, which is the largest in the Middle East, has achieved unparalleled success, at all levels, whether in terms of events or the number of visitors.
The Riyadh season offers more than 100 events during a period of more than two months in 12 specific regions, number of attendees was expected to reach 7 million, but the season achieved unparalleled success, after the number of its visitors broke the barrier of 10 million visitors.
In response to this success, the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ordered the extension of the Riyadh season until the end of January 2020.
The activities of the Riyadh season are one of the kingdom’s seasons in 2019, which were launched for the first time last February, when 11 seasons were introduced, with the aim of attracting tourists to Saudi Arabia.
The Riyadh season contributes to achieving the Kingdom’s plan and vision 2030, during which the entertainment and tourism sectors are strengthened, as one of the forms of diversity in income sources.
