Qiddiya City Launches Construction of Iconic Performing Arts Center

Qiddiya Investment Company has announced the start of construction on the Performing Arts Centre in Qiddiya City, marking a significant step forward in establishing the city as a leading destination for entertainment, sports, and culture.
The milestone was celebrated with a foundation stone–laying ceremony, officially launching construction works to be undertaken by Nesma & Partners.
Speaking at the ceremony, held at the project site overlooking the dramatic Tuwaiq Mountains, Managing Director Abdullah Aldawood confirmed the commencement of works and underscored the project’s transformative impact. Additionally, he described the Performing Arts Centre as a cornerstone of Qiddiya City’s cultural vision, reinforcing its role as a hub for creativity and artistic expression. The centre is set to nurture local talent while attracting renowned international performances.

Designed by Tom Wiscombe Architecture in collaboration with BSBG, the Performing Arts Centre showcases a bold, futuristic aesthetic defined by monumental forms. Its striking composition of interlocking architectural panels and five illuminated blades integrates seamlessly with the surrounding desert terrain, creating an iconic cultural landmark within the city.

The construction milestone follows the launch of Qiddiya City’s first phase in December 2025, which included the opening of Six Flags Qiddiya City.
Finally, the Performing Arts Centre forms part of the company’s wider strategy to develop fully integrated destinations that elevate quality of life and deliver exceptional experiences across entertainment, sports, and culture.
