Qatar and Ukraine on Saturday signed a defense pact aimed at strengthening cooperation against missile and drone threats as Iran continued its aerial campaign across the region, according to AFP.
“The agreement includes collaboration in technological fields, development of joint investments and the exchange of expertise in countering missiles and unmanned aerial systems,” the Qatari Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The agreement was part of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s regional tour, which earlier took him to the United Arab Emirates, where he met President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Both sides agreed to foster cooperation in security and defense.

On February 28, the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran, targeting its leadership and triggering a new conflict in the Middle East.
Iran has been responding with a retaliatory counterattack in Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi as a retaliatory move, while launching barrages of missiles and drones toward Israel. However, the UAE has encountered more Iranian attacks than any other country in the region, including Israel.
