
The Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, on Sunday received the Syrian President, Ahmed Al-Sharaa, and his accompanying delegation in Riyadh, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Earlier on Sunday, Al-Sharaa, arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in his first foreign trip since he assumed presidency. Al-Sharaa is accompanied by his Foreign Minister, Asaad Al-Shaibani.
On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, the new Syrian administration appointed Al-Sharaa as Syria’s president to lead the transitional period in the country, after the fall of Bashar Assad’s regime in December 8, 2024.
