The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has implemented an extensive operational plan to accommodate millions of worshippers throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
This wide-ranging initiative includes the provision of more than 47,000 Zamzam water dispensers, 60,000 prayer rugs, and the deployment of nearly 20,000 staff members working continuously to ensure smooth operations. To enhance comfort and accessibility, 451 designated prayer areas have been prepared, supported by 370 air-conditioning units and more than 10,000 wheelchairs for elderly visitors and individuals with disabilities.
From maintaining 250,000 lighting units to installing advanced, high-quality sound systems, these comprehensive preparations underscore the Kingdom’s commitment to delivering a seamless, serene, and spiritually enriching experience for all visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.
