Saudi Arabia Gears Up: Nearly 19,000 Mosques Ready for Ramadan

The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance has completed a massive maintenance operation across Saudi Arabia. Consequently, officials confirmed that 18,691 mosques are now fully prepared to welcome millions of worshippers during the upcoming holy month.

The ministry‘s projects and maintenance agency spearheaded 102 distinct initiatives to ensure every facility meets the highest operational standards. Furthermore, dedicated teams handled cleaning, technical repairs, and structural maintenance in every region of the Kingdom before the month begins.

The administrative branches coordinated these efforts through a precise master plan that addresses the specific needs of local communities. Therefore, worshippers will find improved lighting, climate control, and pristine prayer halls when they arrive for the first Tarawih prayers.

Enhancing the Worshipper Experience

Technicians resolved several technical issues during the inspection phase to prevent any service interruptions during the busy fasting month. Additionally, the ministry increased the frequency of cleaning schedules to manage the significantly higher foot traffic that Ramadan typically brings.

The authorities designed this comprehensive system to provide a tranquil environment for all citizens and residents throughout the Kingdom. Ultimately, the ministry continues to monitor these sites daily to maintain excellence and ensure a spiritual atmosphere for everyone.
