Mr. Bandar Al-Khorayef, Chairman of the National Industrial Development Center (NIDC), oversaw the signing of a trilateral cooperation agreement in Madrid between NIDC, the Institute of Food Industries, and GEA.
The trilateral agreement aims to enhance the development of human capital in the food industry sector through the provision of consulting services, training programs, and workshops.
This agreement will contribute to the development of joint training programs for students at the Institute of Food Industries in various fields, such as food industry technology and food engineering. It will also enhance scientific research in the areas of innovation and advanced technology. Additionally, it includes the exchange of knowledge and expertise between GEA experts and the institute to promote education and training, as well as collaboration in the development of new products and advanced technical solutions.
GEA
GEA provides comprehensive solutions in the areas of food, beverages, pharmaceuticals and chemicals and develops products for manufacturing and packaging machinery, refrigeration and freezing equipment, and equipment for the food, beverage and agricultural products industry.
The Food Industries Institute focuses on providing educational and training programs aimed at empowering students and professionals to work in this vital sector. Moreover, the institute strives to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve excellence in the food industry, in partnership with the private sector to localize quality jobs.
This agreement also contributes to supporting efforts to develop human capacities and enhance industrial development in the Kingdom, as part of the National Center for Industrial Development’s efforts to create quality opportunities and promote sustainable industrial development.
