MDL Beast festival in Saudi Arabia outperforms its American and Belgian counterparts

The MDL Beast festival in the Saudi capital of Riyadh broke the barrier of expectations, registering in its first days more than 130,000 visitors, outperforming the largest electronic music festivals in the world.

The Saudi newspaper of “Okaz” said on the Saturday the MDL Beast festival in Riyadh outperformed Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which is held annually in the state of California, and the Belgian electronic dance music festival ‘Tomorrowland’.

With this, the MDL Beast festival occupies the list of the largest music festivals in the world, with a daily attendance of approximately 130,000 visitors, followed by the American Coachella Festival with 99,000 attendees per day, and the Belgian ‘Tomorrowland’ Festival with a daily attendance of nearly 66,000.

The festival featured 18 world titles and 28 shows, including Afrojack, Camelphat, J Balvin, Tiësto and David Guetta.

Among the most prominent guests are Martin Jarrix, Steve Aoki, in addition to 24 local and regional artists, such as EDM DJ Cosmicat and DJ Duo Dish Dash, in addition to a number of other international artists.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority, President of the “Riyadh Season” Turki Al-Sheikh, has said that the MDL Beast festival will be the largest event in the Middle East, with the participation of more than 100 DJs and artists.
