“Mawhiba” Saudi Students have won 10 awards in Asian and Pacific Olympics of Mathematics.

The center of King Abdulaziz & his Companions Foundation for Giftedness & Creativity and also known as “Mawhiba,” has participated in an international program of Asian and Pacific Olympics of Mathematics (APMO).

With a collaboration between the ministry of education, ten Saudi students have won the award of the Asian and Pacific Olympics of Mathematics via online. It included seven medals and three certificates of appreciation.

Saudi Arabia has achieved a high rank among other countries; it took the 15th out of 38 countries. The total number of all participant students was 337, and 10 Saudi students have achieved high ranks in an unprecedented scientific achievement.

The awards varied between Silver to Bronze medals as well as appreciation certification.

On the other hand, “Mawhiba” was founded since 1999, and the remarkable role of the center is to have outstanding gifted and creative people. The center nominates qualified Saudi students for international contests. So, the center coordinates different programs to enlarge the capacity of its results. It aims to develop the skills of the affiliate members. The center is aligning with the vision of 2030 to improve and enhance the outcomes of Saudi Arabia in different sectors.
