Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Tourism unveiled that the number of licensed hospitality rooms in Madinah Region has reached approximately 62,000, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The ministry revealed that this noticeable increase marks a 62% growth compared to 2023.
Therefore, Madinah becomes an exceptional region featuring the second highest number of licensed rooms in the Kingdom after Mecca.
Crucially, this significant increase is driven by the ministry’s “Our Guests Are a Priority” campaign, which focuses on offering seamless service in tourism facilities.
By launching this campaign, the ministry ensures that all tourism activities align with the relevant laws and regulations, particularly the mandatory licensing of hospitality facilities.
As part of its continuous efforts to provide visitors with unparalleled services, the ministry’s inspection teams conduct regular monitoring and inspection visits throughout the year to ensure that all facilities comply with licensing requirements.
Crucially, these visits also seek to detect violations and impose fines if needed under the Tourism Law and Regulations of Tourist Accommodation Facilities.
