Jubail Commercial Port Adds ‘Clanga’ Shipping Service by MSC

The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) announced that Jubail Commercial Port has added the new “Clanga” shipping service by MSC, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The new service will further boost Saudi Arabia’s competitiveness in investment and logistics services in line with the promising objectives of the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics.

With a capacity of up to 6,000 standard containers, the Clanga service will connect Jubail Commercial Port with various ports around the world, as follows:

  • King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam
  • Singapore Port
  • Shanghai Port in China
  • Colombo Port in Sri Lanka

Crucially, this step represents a remarkable milestone in the Kingdom’s pursuit to position itself as a global logistics hub connecting three continents.

Furthermore, the newly added service enhances Jubail Commercial Port’s pivotal role in boosting the maritime transport sector and logistics services.

It is worth noting that Jubail Commercial Port is one of the Kingdom’s main ports that supports the movement of national exports to global markets, particularly industrial products and petrochemical products from several plants in Jubail Industrial City.
