Leap23 launches the Rocket Fuel competition, an Alibaba Cloud hackathon, with prizes of SAR 6 million

The Leap 23 International Conference announced the launch of the “Rocket Fuel” competition and the “Alibaba Cloud” hackathon, with cash prizes of up to SAR 6 million.

This competition represents a step to motivate startups, highlight entrepreneurial projects, and contribute to developing and building innovative solutions that address technical challenges.

The International “LEAP 23” conference will be held from 6 to 9 February at the Riyadh exhibition and conference center.

The Leap 23 conference is organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in cooperation with the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, and Tahaluf Company.

Major government and private agencies, as well as technology and communications companies, also participated in organizing the conference.

At this conference, the Kingdom will host a group of the brightest innovators and investors interested in sustainable technologies from all over the world.

The “Rocket Fuel” competition, supported by the National Information Technology Development Program (NTDP) and the Misk Foundation, aims to support startups, highlight entrepreneurial projects, and contribute to developing and building innovative solutions that address technical challenges.

90 global startups will compete for a chance to be one of 15 startups selected to be presented to the competition jury.

The competition offers cash prizes amounting to 4 million riyals. The prizes for startups are divided into 6 categories, including the Leap Prize, which is awarded to the strongest and most prominent competing company.

The first prize is awarded to the most innovative startup company in the metaverse and Web 3 industries. The second prize will be awarded to the most innovative startup company that provides pioneering solutions in the field of artificial intelligence.

The “Ali Baba Cloud” hackathon also aims to promote cloud technologies in the Kingdom, which is sponsored by the Saudi Telecom Company (STC), through various challenges that will be held before the start of the conference.
