Kuwait’s Crown Prince Arrives in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia today, Tuesday, reported Saudi Press Agency.

Upon his arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport, he was welcomed by Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Moreover, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs arrived in Kuwait on an official visit a week ago. The visit came in the wake of Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah’s assumption of the Crown Prince.

Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled took the constitutional oath before the Emir of Kuwait upon his appointment as Crown Prince. He rose through the ranks of the diplomatic corps and served as ambassador to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait’s delegate to the Organization of the Islamic Conference until 1998.

In 1998, he was appointed head of the National Security Service with the rank of minister. About 8 years later, he became Minister of Social Affairs and Labor in 2006, and then Minister of Information in 2008.
