kSA ranks first globally in technical education according to Knowledge Index 2022
The Kingdom ranked first in the world in the percentage of students enrolled in non-university post-secondary education in vocational and technical programs, according to the “Global Knowledge Index 2022”
This indicator is issued by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Knowledge and with UN Development Programme.
This indicator provides reliable data that helps countries and decision-makers understand challenges and how to face them.
it also helps to explore future prospects and possible paths.
The Global Knowledge Index consists of seven composite sub-indicators that focus on the performance of six vital knowledge sectors.
It focuses on pre-university education, technical and vocational education, and training, higher education.
the indicator also focuses on information and communication technology, research, development and innovation, and economics.
It also contains a sub-indicator on the enabling environment.
This sub-indicator diagnoses the social, political, economic, health, and environmental context that embraces these sectors.
Ahmed Al-Fuhaid, Governor of the Corporation, confirmed that the expansion of the capacity annually is among the objectives of the Corporation, which it has worked on since the launch of Saudi Vision 2030.
In 2021, it targeted 24 percent and attracted more than 28 percent of high school graduates.
In 2022, the institution’s target was to accept 26 percent of high school graduates to enroll in technical training programs.
