The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, on Sunday received a written message from the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The message addressed relations between Saudi Arabia and Egypt and ways to further bolster joint cooperation across various fields.

Egypt’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ehab Abu Srei, handed the message to the Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister for Multilateral International Affairs and General Supervisor of the Public Diplomacy Agency, Abdulrahman Al-Rassi, during a meeting at the Foreign Ministry‘s headquarters in Riyadh.
Both officials reviewed Saudi-Egyptian ties and discussed avenues for strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
The Egyptian President visited Saudi Arabia on Thursday, where he met with the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, in NEOM. Both leaders emphasized the depth of Saudi-Egyptian relations, reiterating their intent to continue joint coordination and consultation in various fields.

Their meeting also discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest. The two leaders reviewed Egypt’s efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza and Al-Sisi confirming Egypt’s support for Saudi Arabia’s initiatives on the Palestinian cause.
Moreover, the two leaders stressed the urgent need for the unfettered flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza, the release of hostages and prisoners, and the rejection of any attempts to displace Palestinians from their land or reimpose the Israeli military occupation of the Gaza Strip.
Separately, the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, arrived in Jeddah on Sunday to take part in an extraordinary session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The session, set for Monday, will discuss the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and the ongoing war in Gaza.
