King Salman Approves Transformation of King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has issued a royal order to transform King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital and Research Center into an independent, non-profit institution under the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC).

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Minister of State and CEO of the RCRC Eng. Ibrahim Al-Sultan expressed thanks and gratitude to King Salman and his Crown Prince for their commitment to elevating the Kingdom’s healthcare sector.

The transformation aligns with the health goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to support the role of the non-profit health sector in the Kingdom.

Therefore, such a transformation will foster the sector’s efficiency and quality of services and strengthen the institution’s position as a leading global hub in the field of eye health.

“King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital and Research Center is a pioneer in the field of ophthalmology and optics. the transformation will “establish the hospital as a global leader in ophthalmology, reflecting the leadership’s dedication to providing world-class healthcare,” Al-Sultan said.

Crucially, the hospital’s transformation is part of a broader initiative launched to bolster specialized health and educational entities, including King Saud University and King Faisal Specialist Hospital.
