King Abdulaziz Center Celebrates National Dialogue Award

The King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue (KACND) recently held its third National Dialogue Award ceremony, an event presided over by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, the governor of Riyadh region.

The ceremony, held on October 23, 2023, recognized and celebrated initiatives and individuals fostering dialogue, tolerance, and community cohesion in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

Event Patronage

Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, the Amir of Riyadh region, graced the occasion, emphasizing the importance of national dialogue. His presence underscored the royal family’s support towards promoting a culture of dialogue and mutual understanding among the Saudi populace​​.

Event Highlights

The ceremony commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech from Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Sabeel, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at KACND, expressing gratitude towards Prince Faisal for his patronage and shedding light on the positive societal transformation taking place across the Kingdom under the guidance of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Award Recipients

The winners represented various sectors including governmental institutions, private sector enterprises, civil society organizations, and individuals. Notable winning initiatives were:

  • The “Gateway of Senior Benefactors” initiative by the Ihsan Platform, representing governmental institutions.
  • The “Sustainable Projects for Social Responsibility” by Saudi Electricity Company, representing the private sector.
  • The “Corner of Civil Dialogue” initiative, representing civil society organizations.
  • The “Here are the Students of the World.. ‘Tolerance Unites Us’” initiative by a group of teachers: Nora Al-Surur, Areej Katib, Hanan Al-Harbi, and Zakia Al-Luhayani, representing individuals​​.

The National Dialogue Award Ceremony, in its third iteration, continues to play a crucial role in fostering a culture of dialogue and cooperation among the various sectors of Saudi society.

The event not only celebrated the winners but also reiterated the Kingdom’s commitment to promoting dialogue as a tool for positive societal transformation in line with the broader objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
