Saudi Cabinet hopes to continue constructive dialogue with Iran

The Saudi Cabinet expressed its hope to continue constructive dialogue with Iran in accordance with the principles of the agreement to resume relations between the two countries, which was reached last Friday, under Chinese auspices.

 

The Saudi Council of Ministers discussed in its session on Tuesday, chaired by King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, the agreement reached between the Kingdom and Iran in Beijing that includes approval of the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

 

The Saudi Cabinet expressed “hope to continue the constructive dialogue, in accordance with the pillars and foundations included in the agreement, and in a way that benefits the two countries and the region in general, and enhances regional and international peace and security.”

 

Saudi Arabia and Iran announced last Friday, the resumption of diplomatic relations between them and the reopening of the embassies and representations of the two countries within 60 days, after talks sponsored by China.
