Khorayef, Silveira Discuss Cooperation Opportunities in Mining Sector

Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Bandar Al-Khorayef, met with Brazilian Minister of Mines and Energy, Mr. Alexandre Silveira. They discussed cooperation opportunities in mining and attracting Brazilian investments in the sector.

This meeting was organized during his current official visit to the Federal Republic of Brazil.

The two parties stressed the importance of moving forward in deepening the strong relations between the two countries, stressing in this context the need to benefit from the growing economic  between the two countries. Moreover, the meeting resulted in a number of joint projects in the industrial and mining sectors.

The meeting reviewed investment opportunities and incentives offered by the National Industry Strategy and the Comprehensive Mining Strategy in the Kingdom. It also discussed encouraging Brazilian mining companies to deepen their presence in the Kingdom and take advantage of promising opportunities in the sector.

International Mining Conference

 

Furthermore, the meeting extensively reviewed the “International Mining Conference,” where the Kingdom will host global mining ministers, investment leaders, financial sectors, resource companies, multilateral institutions, NGOs, and key mining service and technology suppliers.

Al-Khorayef also invited the Brazilian Minister of Mines and Energy to participate in the ministerial roundtable associated with the International Mining Conference organized by the Kingdom from January 14 to 16, 2025.
