“Jeddah Summit for Security and Development” confirms KSA’s pivotal role : Al-Jawhara Al-Otaishan

On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God protect him, His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister chaired recently “The Jeddah Summit for Security and Development”, in the presence of their Majesties, Excellencies, State and Highnesses, leaders and heads of delegations of the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the United States of America (USA), the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Republic of Iraq.

Commenting on the Kingdom’s hosting of the summit; Al-Jawhara bint Turki Al-Otaishan Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi media Co. of Sawahl Al-Jazeera said that the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz to the Jeddah Summit for Security and Development was a strong confirmation of the pivotal role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the world and the Middle East.

Al-Otaishan pointed out that the challenges facing the region are large and complex and require cooperation from all countries to confront them.

She further noted that countries in the region need to establish a partnership with a new vision with the United States of America; To ensure the security and stability of the region politically and economically after it witnessed various fluctuations that almost led, based on the potential risks, to undermine stability and turn the region into hotbeds of conflict.

Kingdom’s efforts

Al-Otaishan stressed that holding the summit in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an extension of the Kingdom’s continuous efforts focused on confronting challenges in the world as a whole and the Middle East region.

She emphasized that they are complementary activities to what the Kingdom has started and the visions and initiatives it has presented in the field of security and global food security, preserving the environment, rationalizing the use of resources, and achieving sustainable development goals.
