Jeddah Port Boosts Global Connectivity via CMA CGM’s Ocean Rise Service

The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has added CMA CGM’s Ocean Rise shipping service to Jeddah Islamic Port, marking a remarkable milestone toward fostering the Kingdom’s position as a global maritime hub, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The new service seeks to boost Saudi Arabia’s connectivity with key international markets and further support the growth of national exports and imports by increasing shipping capacity.

The Ocean Rise service offers a dynamic maritime corridor connecting Jeddah Islamic Port with key international hubs, including Kobe, Nagoya, and Yokohama in Japan; Xiamen, Yantian, and Nansha in China; Rotterdam in the Netherlands; Hamburg in Germany; and Southampton in England.

With a handling capacity of up to 3,001 TEUs, the service advances the ambitious objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.

By adding this significant service to the Jeddah Islamic Port, Mawani underscores its commitment to strengthening the Kingdom’s position in the maritime navigation network connectivity index and raise the efficiency of operational performance in Saudi ports.

The new shipping services also enhances the link between the Kingdom and global markets and supports national exports and imports, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
