Jaydana Waterfront: Major Tourism & Investment Boost for Jazan
The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) has unveiled the Jaydana Waterfront – a major tourism project that will boost Jazan’s status as a major tourism and investment attraction.
The project underscores the RCJY‘s commitment to supporting economic diversification and enhancing the quality of life, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Jaydana Waterfront Unveiled
During TOURISE Global Tourism Summit in Riyadh, the RCJY announced the launch of the Jaydana Waterfront project, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The project involves the establishment of an innovative tourism destination that highlights the natural and cultural features of Saudi Arabia’s southern coast, further cementing Jazan’s position as an emerging Red Sea destination.
Located in the Jazan City for Primary and Downstream Industries (JCPDI), Jaydana Waterfront marks a major stride toward developing the tourist infrastructure of Jazan, positioning it as one of the top emerging tourist destinations along the Red Sea coast, attracting both visitors and investors to the region.
The project is expected to attract investments surpassing $2.9 billion in its initial phases, underscoring the growing confidence in Jazan region’s future as a leading tourism and investment hub, as well as bolstering its contribution to the national economy.
Tourist-Industrial Integration
The launch of Jaydana Waterfront project is part of a strategy to boost tourism development and enhance waterfronts in Jazan’s industrial cities in general, and reinforce integration between industrial and tourism development in JCDPI in particular, the RCJY said.

Furthermore, the RCJY invited investors and real estate developers at TOURISE 2025 to learn about the project’s details and explore the available investment opportunities through the Commission’s official channels.
It also emphasized that the project provides a promising opportunity to advance the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly in enhancing the tourism sector and elevating the quality of life.
Jaydana Experience
The Jaydana project spans an area of 3 km2 on the RCJY waterfront in JCDPI. The project includes an integrated package of tourist and entertainment facilities, offering a comprehensive experience that rivals global destinations in its infrastructure, tourist experience, and architectural design.
Aimed at developing domestic tourism, the Jaydana Waterfront project features multiple resorts and amenities for a vibrant, year-round experience.
It also boasts distinctive modern architectural designs that blend local heritage, innovation and southern identity, creating a lively destination for relaxation, entertainment, culture, and sports.
Jaydana Distinctive Features
According to key industry figure and senior architect, Khaled AlOjyan, the Jaydana Waterfront project features attractive offerings designed to elevate Jazan’s tourism, lifestyle, and economic potential. These include:
- Unique Boutique Resort: a luxury resort with 425 keys, 12 dining options, a 2,050 sqm banquet area, and premium wellness facilities alongside indoor amenities like mini F1 go-karting for personalized upscale experiences.
- All-Inclusive Resort: a waterfront resort featuring 315 keys, nine restaurants, and 1,450 sqm of meeting space, tailored for families and adventure seekers with affordable private beaches and water activities.
- Jaydana Wharf: a vibrant 111,056 sqm waterfront district, combining fine dining, boutique hotels, shopping arcades, and residential and office space.
- Water Park: an entertainment destination spanning an area of 80,000 sqm, featuring 17 slides, wave pools, seasonal festivals, and community events.
- Aquarium Mall: a family-friendly destination featuring a massive 24,915 sqm marine-life attraction alongside retail, dining, and a hotel.
- The Quay: a coastal hub with 40 dining outlets, entertainment venues, cultural events, and 160 hotel keys.
- Beach Club & Resort: a premier beachfront retreat with 120 keys, 9 restaurants and signature Red Sea experiences.
- Mixed-Use MICE District: an area dedicated for business events, with a 20,735 sqm exhibition hall, co-working spaces and the RCJY headquarters.
- Yacht Club: a high-end marina spanning 20,000 sqm, featuring wellness and shopping experiences, indoor activities and luxury maritime leisure.
- Indoor Entertainment Arena: an integrated venue that incorporates sports courts, family play zones, and e-gaming facilities across 35,000 sqm.
Jazan’s Tourism Transformation
The Jaydana Waterfront project is part of Saudi Arabia’s larger push to boost Jazan’s infrastructure and strengthen its status as a key tourism and investment destination.
This effort includes the innovative SEVEN entertainment hub – a SAR 1.3 billion project on Jazan’s northern corniche inspired by the region’s natural diversity and rich cultural heritage.
Spanning an area of over 60,000 square meters with 73,000 square meters of built-up space, SEVEN Jazan will feature a diverse range of attractions, including an indoor golf course, an entertainment district full of premium thrill rides, and a cutting-edge cinema complex.
Moreover, it will host a Hot Wheels-inspired electric karting track, in addition to an indoor adventure center by Discovery Adventures, which will offer hands-on activities that promote creativity and learning.
These ambitious projects are supported by the massive upgrade of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Airport, the new gateway to Saudi Arabia’s southern regions.
The new Jazan airport is going through an expansion that will enable it to handle 3.6 million passengers annually, boosting Jazan’s air connectivity and capacity to receive international visitors.
