Italian Embassy in Riyadh, Arabia pictures Group and EU celebrate the fifth edition of Fare Cinema

Fare Cinema has joined the inaugural European Film Festival in Saudi Arabia with a series of special events, which will be held from 15 to 22 June.

The festival will host a performance and two dedicated panel discussions with Italian guests in attendance.

The Italian Embassy in Saudi Arabia is proud of its participation as a partner in the first edition of the European Film Festival, which is being held in Riyadh

The festival is considered close cooperation between the European Union delegation and the Arabia picture Group, as it happens in conjunction with the Fare Cinema International Festival.

The Italian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia stated: “We are very happy to witness this boom in the film industry in Saudi Arabia, which opens new horizons for Italian cinema, for the enjoyment of the growing Saudi audience and a lover of films”.

“We strongly believe that culture can connect nations and peoples, through Fare Cinema, which is part of the European Film Festival in Riyadh, we hope to exhibit the various features and ways that characterize Italian cinema,” he said

Roaa Al-Madani, CEO of Arabia Pictures Group, added: “We are very honored to participate in the celebration of Italian cinema here in Riyadh and to create a cultural exchange between countries”.

“We are also very pleased to continue working closely with Green Film and the Trentino Film Commission to pave the way for an environmentally friendly industry, and in the future, we will be running exhibitions and events for distinguished Italian filmmakers shortly”, she continued.

The European Film Festival will feature My Brother Chases Dinosaurs by Italian director Stefano Cipani.

Riyadh welcomes the Italian screenwriter and talented young artist Giacomo Mazziriol, who will hold a workshop with young Saudi talents

A special panel discussion will also be held for the Green Film Initiative, with the participation of Alberto Pattucci and the Trentino Film Commission.

The EU delegation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, and the Kingdom of Bahrain was inaugurated in Riyadh in 2004.
