Israel strikes Syrian military targets
Explosions echoed across Damascus and its vicinity as a result of Israeli raids on military targets, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The Syrian regime’s news agency (SANA) announced late Tuesday night that explosions could be heard in the skies of Damascus, while Israel remained silent on the news.
According to the service, the strikes occurred at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday and targeted the central and southern regions.
The regime’s defence systems confronted the missiles, shot down some of them, and losses were limited to material.
An Israeli attack from Lebanese airspace was repelled by the regime’s air forces, according to a later report.
Since the outbreak of the conflict in Syria in 2011, there have been reports of Israeli raids in Syria, often targeting Iranian, Lebanese Hezbollah or Syrian forces sites.
