Indian Pilgrim Completes 8-Month Journey for Hajj

On 8-month journey while footing, an Indian pilgrim arrived in Medina, hoping to conclude his year by performing the Hajj to the Holy House of Allah.

The lndian pilgrim Sayyed Ali said, according to Al-Ekhbariya channel today, Friday, that he started his journey from India to Iran, headed to Iraq and then Riyadh and finally reached Medina.

Upon reaching, he thanked the Kingdom’s wise leadership for the orderly process of Umrah.

Hajj represents an important religious duty and Islamic ritual for every capable adult Muslim. The Hajj obligation is the pillar and principles of the Islamic religion. Hajj is considered an important part of achieving Islamic unity at the global level. Muslims from different countries perform Hajj from various parts of the world and they feel a sense of belonging to each other.

The enormous benefits of Hajj are not limited to the individual only, but extend to society in general. It contributes to consolidating social relations among Muslims from all over the world. During Hajj, Muslims interact and learn about their cultures and traditions.

In addition, the Hajj significantly stimulates the economy of Saudi Arabia, as interest in local markets and shops in Mecca and other holy cities increases. Hajj is also a huge investment opportunity for Saudi Arabia since it receives large numbers of pilgrims on an annual basis.
