Health Ministry: 40% of the Saudi population is partly vaccinated
Saudi Arabia declared that 40% of the population has already received at least one dosage of the coronavirus vaccine.
The Saudi Ministry of Health said that the second dosage of the Coronavirus vaccine is now accessible throughout the Kingdom for those aged 60 and up.
The ministry published an illustrative picture on its official Twitter account accompanied by instructions. The authority also made the second dose available to other groups through a circular issued by the Corona Vaccines Operations Platform at the Ministry’s Command and Control Center. These groups include active cancer patients, dialysis patients, and transplant patients.
This month, Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation issued a circular to all airlines operating in the Kingdom’s airports, instructing them to record the data of vaccinated travellers.
According to a statement on the authority’s website, the portal allows non-Saudi citizens who have been vaccinated to register their vaccinations electronically, facilitating procedures upon arrival.
The Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence, the Ministry of Health, and Elm Company have contributed to the service.
