GCC Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi held a meeting in Brussels with ambassadors representing GCC countries who are accredited to the Belgium and the European Union, as part of his official visit.
During the meeting, he updated the ambassadors on recent regional developments, with particular focus on the ongoing crisis and the collective response of GCC states to Iranian actions targeting their territories. He emphasized that the GCC has established an effective framework for coordination, which has played a key role in reducing risks and minimizing their impact.
Albudaiwi also highlighted the main goals of his visit to the EU, including a planned briefing to the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs and discussions with EU officials aimed at strengthening relations between the Gulf region and Europe.
In addition, he welcomed the ambassadors’ insights on GCC–EU relations and expressed appreciation for their continued collaboration and coordination.
