King Salman: Saudi Arabia Will Continue to Collaborate and Solve International Issues in G20 Summit
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to play a major role in the G20 Summit to achieve global cooperation and find solutions to global challenges.
During his speech at the closing session of the G20 summit, he clarified that cooperation is the cornerstone of the success of the G20 and that the summit succeeded in presenting messages that reassure all peoples around the world.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud delivered a speech as follows:

Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you:
I would like to thank you for your active participation during the past two days. We were able to reaffirm the spirit of cooperation that has always been the cornerstone of the successes of the G20 summit. We need this now more than ever before to confront the pandemic’s consequences and build a prosperous future for the whole world. We have achieved a lot this year. We have fulfilled our commitment to continue working together to rise to the level of the challenges arising from behind the Coronavirus to protect the lives of the most vulnerable groups. We have adopted important policies that would achieve recovery and build a strong, sustainable, inclusive, and balanced economy, activate efforts to make the global trading system fit for all, and create conditions for sustainable development.
More importantly, we have succeeded in presenting a message that sends reassurance and hopes to our citizens and all peoples around the world through the leaders ’final statement of this summit, which I have the honor to do for the G20 countries, which is what the world has been waiting for from us. For this achievement, today is the culmination of our joint efforts during a full of challenges.
Our collective and individual efforts will have a decisive role in overcoming the global challenge that exists before us now and looking towards the future. We will work by empowering people, preserving the planet, and forming new horizons, to lay the foundations for achieving our general goal, which is to seize the twenty-first-century opportunities for all.
Given the fact that the strategical position of the Kingdom of Saudi regionally and internationally connecting three continents and automatically connects emerging and developed markets, the Kingdom will continue to play a major role in the G20 summit to achieve global cooperation and find solutions to global challenges in the twenty-first century in cooperation with our partners in the group and the rest of the countries.
However, this is the first time that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been honored to handle the presidency of the G20 Summit; although it was a year full of great challenges, with your support, we were able to rise to the level of the challenge.
Here I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our partners in Italy and Japan (Troika Group) to assist us in achieving our program for this year.
I am pleased now to transfer the honor and responsibility to host the presidency of the G20 Summit in 2021 AD to Italy, wishing it success in that, and we stand ready to provide assistance in any way possible.
Now, I invite the Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte to present his speech and assume Italy’s presidency for the coming G20 summit. Please, Prime Minister.
