The French President Emmanuel Macron met yesterday with the members of the ministerial committee assigned by the Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit to discuss Gaza War, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Chaired by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the meeting highlighted the attendance of Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan, Ayman Al-Safadi, and the Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
The members discussed the latest development of Gaza War and the dire need to implement a permanent and complete ceasefire.
They examined with Macron the necessity to protect civilians and accelerate the delivery of humanitarian aid to all parts of Gaza Strip.
The committee stressed the importance of establishing an independent, sovereign Palestinian State on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Furthermore, they underscored that all countries should recognize the Palestinian State, specifically those who are permanent members of the Security Council.
The members stated that the world should put an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people and give them their legitimate rights according to the international law.
They demanded the international community to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for practices that clearly violate the international humanitarian law by committing a bloody genocide in the Strip.
The ministers expressed their complete rejection to the Israeli control over the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing that consequently led to halt the entry of urgent humanitarian aid.
