France is investing more than 4 Euros in Saudi Arabia: Trade minister

France’s Trade Minister, Olivier Becht revealed many investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia, most notably in the health sector and the field of green hydrogen.

In a press statement on the sidelines of his visit to the Kingdom, Becht affirmed the strength of economic relations between the two countries. He added that France has invested more than 4 billion euros in Saudi Arabia, expressing his desire to increase Saudi investments in France.

He pointed to France’s capabilities in private-sector hospitals and the field of medicine. He explained that the value of French imports from Saudi Arabia exceeded 4 billion euros, while the value of French exports amounted to about two billion euros. This indicates that this would be a wise investment in relations between the two countries.

This December, France’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia HE Ludovic Pouille inaugurated the first edition of the French Equestrian Days in Riyadh, organized by Business France Middle East. The inauguration was attended by Mrs. Marie-Cecile Tardieu, CEO of Business France Invest.

“The equestrian sector is a new pillar of the French-Saudi economic partnership,” said the French Ambassador.

The ‘French Equestrian Days’ is a Saudi-French initiative aiming to foster cooperation between the two countries in the equestrian industry. It will run from 12 to 14 December.
