Saudi-Tajik Investment Forum kicks off in Dushanbe
The “Saudi-Tajik Investment Forum” and the third meeting of the Saudi-Tajik Committee were inaugurated on Saturday in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.
The forum was attended by the Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid Al-Falih and major Saudi and Tajik companies participated.
Engineer Khaled Al-Falih stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries at all levels and contributing to the development process taking place in the Republic of Tajikistan.
He pointed to the importance of continuous development of trade, tourism, agriculture, and clean energy sectors. This will result in a positive and sustainable impact on both countries.
His Excellency explained that Tajikistan’s aspirations align with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. This vision aims to make the Kingdom’s economy one of the 15 largest economies in the world by 2030.
During the forum, an agreement was signed between the Federation of Saudi Chambers and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan to establish the Saudi-Tajik Joint Business Council.
The forum included presentations on major projects in the two countries.
It contained dialogue sessions that discussed a range of topics with the aim of enabling the private sector to access investment opportunities.
This platform aims to link qualitative investment opportunities with Saudi and Tajik companies and to promote and develop them.
During the forum, representatives of the private sector held bilateral meetings to discuss investment opportunities in the two countries, and exchange experiences.
