King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) has launched the first direct flights connecting Jeddah and Moscow, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Operated by Saudi Arabia’s first budget airline flynas, the new route operates three flights a week between King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow.
This new route expands on flynas’ move in August to launch scheduled flights connecting Moscow and Riyadh – the first by a Saudi airline.
It also aligns with flynas‘ commitment to expanding destinations and routes to provide more reliable and convenient travel options for passengers.
The initiative comes in cooperation with the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) and the Air Connectivity Program to boost air connectivity between Saudi Arabia and Russia.

The new route marks KAIA’s third destination to Russia, after Makhachkala and Mineralnye Vody, launched earlier this month by Russia’s Azimuth Airlines.
Moreover, the move aligns with Jeddah Airports Company’s strategy to expand the number of destinations connected to KAIA to provide more travel options and enhance the airport’s contribution to aviation revenues.
It also leverages the Kingdom’s strategic geographical location which positions KAIA as a pivotal hub connecting East and West.
Most recently, King Abdulaziz International Airport broke records by welcoming 50 million passengers in 2025, celebrating an unprecedented milestone in the history of Saudi airports.
This achievement aligns with the objectives of the Aviation Program under the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which aims to connect KAIA to 150 international destinations and serve nearly 100 million passengers by 2030.
