Fifty Experts Convene for 8th International Symposium on Live Endoscopy
The 8th International Symposium on Live Endoscopy, hosted by the Riyadh Second Health Cluster from February 13-15, brought together 50 international and local experts to explore the latest advancements in live endoscopy. The event featured interactive discussions, live medical case demonstrations, and specialized workshops showcasing cutting-edge technologies.
Dr. Abed Al-Lehibi, chair of the organizing committee and chief of gastroenterology and endoscopy at King Fahad Medical City, emphasized that the symposium included the real-time transmission of 60 medical cases. These livestreamed cases allowed specialists to discuss procedures as they were performed, facilitating immediate knowledge exchange and the adoption of innovative medical techniques.
The program covered key areas such as pancreatic endoscopy, ultrasound endoscopy, and advanced polyp removal, reinforcing the highest standards of medical practice. The Riyadh Second Health Cluster enabled live broadcasts from King Fahad Medical City’s operating rooms, allowing specialists to engage with the latest diagnostic and treatment methods in real time.
