FIFA Legends Face Saudi Team in Friendly Match

Accompanying Events of 20th Club World Cup

On Thursday, a friendly match was played between FIFA legends and several stars from the Saudi national team, according to SABQ Online Newspaper.

This event was part of the sidelines of the Saudi Arabia FIFA Club World Cup 2023. The match took place at the Prince Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium of Al-Ahli Club in Jeddah. The FIFA legends won with a score of 6-1.

Additionally, notable participants included Gianni Infantino, President of FIFA; Yasser Al-Misehal, President of the Saudi Football Federation; and Ibrahim Al-Qassim, the General Secretary of the Saudi Federation.

Consequently, the event highlighted significant figures in international and Saudi football.

Accompanying Events of 20th Club World Cup

The match was among the accompanying events of the 20th edition of the FIFA Club World Cup. Teams participating included those who won top-ranked continental tournaments and the host country representative.

Clubs participating alongside Al-Ittihad included New Zealand’s Auckland City, England’s Manchester City, Japan’s Urawa Reds, Egypt’s Al Ahly, Mexico’s Club Leon, and Brazil’s Fluminense.

Final Match, Closing Ceremony

The final match on Friday will feature England’s Manchester City, the European champions, versus Brazil’s Fluminense, the South American champions.

Subsequently, a closing ceremony is scheduled for 8:35 PM, starring Bebe Rexha and famed DJ David Guetta, along with musical and entertainment events.

Additionally, the night will include special celebrations for the championship. Furthermore, “Haddaf,” the Sand Cat, the tournament’s official mascot, will be part of the festivities.
