Saudi alpine ski team athletes Joud Farhoud and Sherifa Al-Sudairi have officially inaugurated the Kingdom’s participation in the Asian Winter Games, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
On Sunday, Feb 9, Male skier Fayik Abdi will have a fierce competition.
Meanwhile, the Saudi curling team athletes is currently undergoing intensive trainings in preparation for their competition that will take place on Feb 9.
Crucially, the team will have two matches as part of their competition against Qatar and China.
Set to take place from 7 to 14 February in Harbin in Heilongjiang, China, the Asian Winter Games (AWG) features 64 medal events across 6 sports, including biathlon, curling, ice hockey, skating, skiing and ski mountaineering.
Interestingly, the current season marks the second time for Harbin to host AWG after 1996, and the third time for China to hold this winter multi-sports event.
