Fashion Commission to Organize Meeting on Sustainability Opportunities
Tomorrow, the Fashion Commission will organize an open meeting tomorrow entitled: “Sustainability Opportunities in Fashion Sector.”
During the meeting, it will meet with practitioners and those interested in the fashion sector in the Kingdom, to shed light on sustainable materials. Moreover, the virtual meeting will focus on developing the production process, and sustainable design in the fashion industry.
It will also address multiple aspects, the most prominent of which are the reasons that make the fashion industry one of the most polluting industries and sustainable materials in the fashion sector.
It will further discuss developing the production process and enhancing design sustainability in the fashion industry. The meeting will also touch on the most prominent initiatives of designers and fashion companies that achieve sustainability in the local and international fashion sector.
“Sustainability Opportunities in Fashion Sector” meeting comes within a series of meetings that the Fashion commission has been organizing. These meetings serve as an open communication window with the fashion community in the Kingdom.
It aims to introduce them to the Authority’s activities and efforts in developing the sector, and promoting investment opportunities. This is with a view to transform it into an effective and contributing sector to the national economy. It further aims to as bring in ideas and visions. Consequently, this would contribute to the development of the Saudi fashion sector to enable it to compete locally, regionally and globally.
