Egypt’s Ambassador Praises Electrical Connection Between Cairo & Riyadh

Ambassador Ahmed Farouk, Egypt’s ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stated the Egyptian-Saudi electricity connectivity project is a huge undertaking that will benefit both countries.

During his media appearance, Ahmed Moussa said that executive contracts for this project were signed in the last two months, with investments of one billion and 300 million dollars.

He defined the Egyptian-Saudi electrical connection as a future project that will benefit both countries.

He emphasized that the electrical interconnection project between Egypt and Saudi Arabia is crucial for the two countries and that there is cooperative integration and uninterrupted reciprocal visits between the two countries.

He went on to say that there is constant and ongoing coordination about the Hajj season from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and that anyone who wishes to conduct Umrah must fulfill the conditions set by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, and that everything will be taken care of for him.

Following up on the accumulation of many consular transactions over the previous period due to the Coronavirus pandemic, he stated that the Umrah will be performed in compliance with specific criteria and regulations imposed by Saudi authorities.
