Saudi Arabia, Turkey Discuss Enhancing Industrial Cooperation

During his official visit to the Republic of Turkey, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industrial Affairs, Khalil bin Salama, discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries in the industrial and mining sectors. He reviewed promising investment opportunities in these sectors.

Bin Salama also chaired the roundtable meeting between the Saudi and Turkish sides which was held at the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) to discuss industrial and commercial cooperation opportunities between the two countries in the presence of many representatives from Turkish companies.

The visit included several cities, such as Ankara, Eskişehir, and Istanbul. He toured private sector companies and Turkish institutions like ASELSAN, Roketsan, Turkish Aerospace, TEI, TEI Metal, and TEI Alloys, as well as the Middle East Technical University. He also met with officials to discuss investment opportunities in the Kingdom’s industrial and mining sectors.

On the other hand, His Excellency met Saudi students studying in Turkey in Istanbul, in the presence of the Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Ankara, Dr. Faisal Usrah.

This visit followed discussions held by the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, during his visit to Turkey last August. These discussions aim to enhance cooperation in the industrial and mining sectors, increase commercial and non-oil exports, and attract good investment opportunities.
