Cyprus FM Says Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia represent a threat
Saudi Foreign Affairs Minister stated in a news conference with his Cypriot colleague, “We addressed the difficulties of regional stability and dealing with terrorism.”
He also stated unequivocally that Nicosia is the Kingdom’s key partner in the European Union, and that it connects Riyadh to Europe.
In response, Cypriot Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides stated that the Houthi strikes on Saudi Arabia endanger the region’s stability.
“We appreciate Saudi Arabia’s assistance and our cooperation connection with the Kingdom,” he said, adding, “We addressed EU-Saudi Arabia relations.”
Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades met with Prince Faisal bin Farhan today in the Presidential Palace in Nicosia. According to the Saudi Press Agency “SPA,” the Kingdom of 2030 aims to increase wealth and well-being for the two fraternal nations and peoples.
The two sides also reviewed methods for strengthening work and bilateral coordination at all levels, as well as the most significant regional and international issues of mutual importance, as well as the efforts made by the two nations in this respect.
During the reception, the significance of stepping up international efforts to prevent Iran from gaining nuclear weapons and to rid the Middle East of weapons of mass destruction was highlighted.
