Crown Prince Holds Talks with Jordanian King, Qatari Amir on Regional Escalation

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, held separate meetings today in Jeddah with King Abdullah II of Jordan and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of Qatar, to discuss recent regional developments and escalating tensions in the Middle East.
During his meeting with King Abdullah II, discussions focused on the strong bilateral ties between Saudi Arabia and Jordan, as well as the implications of ongoing military escalation in the region. Both leaders addressed the impact of these developments on regional and global security and stability, and explored ways to enhance coordination in response to emerging challenges. They emphasized that repeated Iranian attacks targeting Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and Jordan—particularly those aimed at civilian and critical infrastructure—constitute a serious escalation and pose a significant threat to regional security.

In a separate meeting with the Amir of Qatar, the Crown Prince reviewed the close relationship between the two nations and discussed the latest regional developments. The leaders examined the broader consequences of military escalation, including threats to international shipping routes, energy security, and the global economy.
They also explored avenues for strengthening joint efforts to maintain regional stability. Both sides reaffirmed that ongoing Iranian attacks on GCC countries and vital infrastructure represent a dangerous escalation that undermines regional security.
