Saudi Arabia will host one of the year’s most anticipated MMA events, “Battle of the Giants,” on October 19. The event will take place at the Mayadeen Hall in Riyadh, marking a significant milestone in the Kingdom’s growing sports landscape.
Main Event: Ngannou vs. Ferreira
The main event will feature a heavyweight showdown between former UFC champion Francis “The Predator” Ngannou and current PFL heavyweight champion Renan “Problema” Ferreira. Ngannou returns to the octagon to challenge Ferreira for the newly introduced PFL Super Fights Championship belt. Ngannou expressed his excitement about returning to Riyadh, praising the enthusiastic reception he received during his previous visit.
“I am thrilled to return to Saudi Arabia, especially Riyadh,” Ngannou said at a press conference. “The Saudi audience welcomed me warmly before, and I am eager to deliver a memorable performance.”
Ferreira, making his debut in the Kingdom, is equally eager. “I am excited to be in Saudi Arabia for the first time. I look forward to contributing to the development of MMA here and achieving a historic victory,” Ferreira commented.
Co-Main Event: Cyborg vs. Pacheco
The co-main event will showcase a thrilling women’s world title fight. MMA legend Cris “Cyborg” will face PFL two-time champion Larissa Pacheco. Cyborg, widely regarded as one of the greatest female fighters of all time, will defend her legacy against Pacheco, who aims to solidify her position as the premier female MMA fighter.
