Bank Credit Hits 2.418 Tn Riyals in Private Sector for Oct.
The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) reported that the bank credit to the private sector reached approximately 2.418 trillion Riyals in October.
This represents a 9.3% annual increase from 2.210 trillion Riyals in the same month the previous year. On a monthly basis, there was a 0.8% increase from 2.398 trillion Riyals in September.
Private Sector Loans, Advances
The volume of loans, advances, and overdrafts in the private sector in October 2023 was about 2.400 trillion Riyals. This shows a 9.3% yearly increase from 2.195 trillion Riyals and a 0.8% monthly increase from 2.381 trillion Riyals in September.
Discounted Bills
Discounted bills recorded in October were approximately 17.656 billion Riyals.
This is a 15.9% annual increase from 15.239 billion Riyals and a 3.4% monthly increase.
Investments in Private Securities
Investments in private securities amounted to 78.987 billion Riyals.
There was an 11.1% annual increase from 71.099 billion Riyals and a 2.6% monthly increase from 76.997 billion Riyals in September.
Total Liabilities of Banks from Private Sector
Total liabilities of banks from the private sector reached 2.497 trillion Riyals. This is a 0.9% monthly increase from 2.475 trillion Riyals and a 4.1% annual increase from 2.282 trillion Riyals in October of the previous year.
