

HRH Prince Mohamad Bin Salman, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed before the “Riyadh Arab-Chinese Summit for Cooperation and Development”, which concluded recently in Riyadh, that the Arabs will compete for renaissance and progress.
“We assure the world that we will race for progress and renaissance once again, and we will prove it every day”, he said.
His Highness stressed that the historical relationship between the Arab countries and the People’s Republic of China is based on mutual respect, friendship, and cooperation in many fields. He added, “Our countries attach the utmost importance to supporting the process of development, developing their economies, and the well-being of their people.”
His Highness added: “We look at the Arab region with much interest in the steady growth and rapid developments achieved by the People’s Republic of China. It has become one of the world’s leading economies.
He added: “The Kingdom is working to enhance international cooperation to meet the challenges facing our world and to support multilateral international action within the framework of the principles of the UN, in a way that contributes to achieving a promising future for peoples and future generations.
He added: We are aware of the magnitude of the challenge posed by climate change, and we believe in the need to find more sustainable and comprehensive solutions, within the framework of a balanced approach that seeks to mitigate the negative effects, while maintaining the levels of growth of the global economy, as we aim to reach zero carbon neutrality without affecting growth and energy chains supply, and the Kingdom appreciates the cooperation of its international partnerships with Arab countries and China, within the framework of the Green Middle East initiative.
He said, “We affirm our readiness to interact positively with initiatives that enhance our joint environmental work, taking into account the development interests of countries, and the varying capabilities between them”.
